1. When I came to the US, I went by the name "Shawn". I got this name from my spoken english teacher from college, because everyone in his class had to have an english name. I asked him to help me pick a name, and he asked what the first letter of my last name was, and I told him it was "S".Then he named me Shawn "accordingly", since it also has an "S" as the first letter. A few months after I got here, I went back to my real name "Xin", as there is another Sean in my group of friends, and people started referring me as "little Sean" and plus, I never really felt it is my name.

2. I call my parents 4-5 times a week.

3. When I call my friend in China, I always start with "Can I speak to XXX" even when I call them on their cells, and know exactly who I am speaking to.

4. My fav food ever is Korean cold noodles.

5. I don't like olives and pickles. Usually, I specifically ask people to not put them in my Burgers

6. I love Karaoke. Oh my dear american friends, before you say "hell no, I will never embarass myself like that", u should go to china, and experience the real karaoke once

7. I love animated movies. Kung fu panda was my fav from 2008, and I am looking forward to the one coming out in this march, Monsters and Aliens

8. I don't like horrors cuz I am super scared of them. Funny thing is I used to not get scared by them, and somehow, it suddenly changed during my college.

9. The shows that I am watching reguarly are Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and Bachelor/Bachelorette.

10. When I work out, I usually do 8 or 18 reps in each set, because in Chinese, 8 sounds similar to "rich" and 18 sounds similar to "get rich". On the other side, I avoid 4 adn 14 cuz they sound like "die" and "to die".

11. In case you don't know it already, I have a dog named Steven. He is super cute and sweet, however he has some behavior problems too(peeing and chewing). I am taking a 8-week training session.

12. I don't like those email relaying game, such like quot;forward this email to 10 of your friends, and you will get blessing from God, otherwise, you will have bad luck for the rest of the yearquot;. Normally, I just delete this right away. So if you are tagged in this note, don't feel obligated to write anything or pass this on to anybody.

13. I have an underbite and it bothers me. When I eat noodles, I have to use my togue to help cut them. I also think I will look better I had a normal bite.

14. I claim that I never had got drunk, even though a lot of people would disagree.

15. People have told me that I like to "disagree", and I am working on this now.

16. I have bad memory for daily life experience. I failed like 99% of the times when I try to remember a good joke I laughed so hard at a few days ago. I also don't remember much of what happened in kindergarden, elementary school, middle school, high school and college.

17. I used to like plain clothes and dressed myself like a 30 years old man when I was 15.

18. I don't really buy the current theory of how the universe was born, and how it keeps expanding. I always think that there could be a universe is every dust in our world, and the movie Horton hears who proves my theory.

19. I like to scrub when I shower, I mean really scrub. I used to ask my friend in college to scrub my back in shower.

20. I seriously freaked out, when hair started growing out on my legs during my puberty, i thought I was a monkey.

21. I am bad at hiding my emotions. If I don't like someone, people will notice sooner or later.

22. I don't have a religion, and I plan to stay this way.

23. I used to have a much more melow temper. Now sometime, I get pissed off so easily and the weird thing is I don't want to change it.

24. I am so tired and sleepy right now

25. I accidentally hit the wrong button when I was writing this note, and it was gone. I had to start all over again, and because this is supposed to 25 random things about me, some stuff I mentioned in my first draft weren't in this final version.

今天还在问妈妈奶奶还能不能挺到我暑假回家，妈妈说可能不行，那时心里就难过不已。谁想到晚上就收到爸爸的电话说奶奶已经走了好几天，为了不让我担心没有告诉我。 我在电话里失控了，嚎啕大哭起来，结果连累这几天就已伤心不已的家人们和我一起在电话上哭。最后也没能和奶奶道个别，做孙子的我真是自责不已。奶奶以前总会开玩笑的说，不知道她能不能活到享他二孙子的福，我就是打保票地和她说一定会的，可是我让却奶奶等得太久了。还记得自走上大学以来，每次假期回家去奶奶家，奶奶总会是端出各式各样的水果，不住地问我吃不吃这，吃不吃那，然后再无不感慨的说“孙子这么快就长大，都上大学了；每次春节的钟声一敲响，奶奶总会变戏法似的拿出一跌崭新的50元的钞票，递给每个孙子孙女，而我总会象征性的推托一下，然后欣喜的收下我每年仅有的几份之一的压岁钱；离家时，奶奶总是会拖着蹒跚步伐到车站去送我，带着我最喜爱的食物，然后再塞上我每次都不好不要的十几二十块钱，说“奶奶只能给这么多，一番心意”。奶奶就这么走了，这么些看来惟一享到孙子的“福”就是一年半前回国给她老人家带的保健品；奶奶就这么走了，来不及等到她一把手带大的孙儿我向她最后再道一次别；奶奶就这么走了，让支身一人漂泊在北美的我再次领悟到我的永远在中国东北的一上小镇；奶奶就这么走了.....
